2011 1 Oz American Mint Liberty Round PF

Rare American Mint solid silver round.  Issued as part of the 10th Anniversary 9/11 celebration. Limited mintage.

Obverse: The obverse depicts the Statue of Liberty at the left overlooking the Twin Towers and the skyline of New York City. The right contains a stirring quote from Rudolf Giuliana, Mayor of New York in 2001. The upper inscription reads "LIBERTY". 

Reverse: The reverse is the standard reverse designed for this series. An eagle with outstretched wings perches on a block with the inscription "09/11 2001". The Pentagon framing the Twin Towers provides the backdrop. Laurel leaves surround the central images. An outer circle bears the inscription "THE AMERICAN SPIRIT" at the top and the phrase "REMEMBERING 9/11" at the bottom. The purity of "999" is inscribed on the left and the mint mark for the American Mint is found under the eagle's right wing.

Edge: The edge is smooth. The weight and content of "1 OZ. FINE SILVER" are inscribed on the left. The purity of "999" is located at the bottom edge.
