Certified Mint

Based in Phoenix, Certified Mint has gone through several iterations as a business since it's inception. It was founded in 1973 As Certified Mint and during that time produced a few silver rounds. During the 1980's it was known as Certified Mint, Inc. In it's current version, it is a gold and silver broker specializing in larger purchases. It is currently known as Certified Mint Inc Gold and Silver (CMIGS).

During it's early years, Certified Mint produced a few versions of 1 Oz rounds. The mint produced a series of silver rounds from 1974 through 1977 celebrating the construction of the Trans-Alaska oil pipeline. rounds as well. In addition to the Alaska series, two commercial silver trade unit style rounds were produced.  The units on the commercial rounds were called "Silverado's".  Two types were produced, one with the obverse of the heraldic eagle like the Letcher Mint rounds from 1973.  The reverse on this round contained scales along with the mint name and other elements.  The second "Silverado" round depicts an eagle flying above the globe while the reverse shows a sunrise.  All of Certified Mint products were minted with 1 Oz .999 Fine Silver and no fractionals are known.
