2000's Coins/Rounds

During the early part of the 2000's, the price of silver gradually increased. The economic turmoil in the stock and real estate markets created an environment for a run-up in precious metals. Silver reached almost $20 per Oz only to drop almost %50 shortly thereafter. By the end of the decade, silver had recovered to roughly $15 per Oz, almost 3 times what it had been in the two decades prior.

The rise in precious metals generated new interest in the silver market. Long time mints such as Highland, NWTM and Sunshine began to produce more generic rounds and bars for investment. Collectible silver bars and rounds were sparse and as with the previous decade many of the privately minted rounds from this era were commissioned by companies or individuals and have smaller mintages. Dated rounds from Even generic rounds issued by the larger mints are harder to find relative to their 1980's counterparts. Any of the rounds or bars dated from 2001 through 2010 can be found in this category. Additionally, any undated rounds known to be issued during that time from will also be placed in this category. If the issuing mint is known, then the rounds or bars will be listed there as well. All rounds and bars have been listed in the appropriate thematic categories.
