Liberty Lobby

Liberty Lobby was a United States political advocacy organization founded in 1958. It was created by Willis Carto and described itself as "a pressure group for patriotism; the only lobby in Washington, D.C., registered with Congress which is wholly dedicated to the advancement of government policies based on our Constitution and conservative principles." Carto was noted for his promotion of anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, white nationalism, and Holocaust denial.

Liberty Lobby depicted itself as "a patriotic populist organization seeking to restore constitutional safeguards and national sovereignty" and claimed that it was not anti-Semitic, much less non-fascist or quasi-nazi. However, many of it's publications espoused those beliefs. Francis Parker Yockey's Imperium was republished by Carto's Noontide Press, which also published a number of other books and pamphlets promoting a racialist and white supremacist world view, and Liberty Lobby in turn sold and promoted these books. In 2001, Liberty Lobby and Carto lost a civil lawsuit brought by a rival far-right group which had earlier gained control of the Institute for Historical Review, and the ensuing judgment for damages bankrupted the organization.

In 1973 Liberty Lobby established its popular silver minting and selling division, Liberty Trust, which claimed to be the oldest private mint in the U.S. specializing in pure silver. Beginning in 1973, Liberty Trust Mint produced several 1 Oz and 1/2 Oz rounds for the organization. It continued producing these products until the demise of the organization. The rounds were minted using .999 Fine Silver and featured historical figures such as George Washington, Martha Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Andrew Jackson.
