Nevada Coin Mart
The Nevada Coin Mart (a.k.a. Nevada Coin Minting) is based in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was incorporated in 1969 and continues to operate as a retail store today. In the 1970s it was a prolific producer of poured bars. The bars were available in several sizes including, 1, 2, 5, 10, and 25 Oz. During this time it also minted 1 Oz silver art bars and occasionally 1 Oz rounds. During the 1980s and 1990s, the focus shifted towards casino and gaming tokens, also known as silver strikes. These were produced in several denominations with a variety of base metals. Higher values were made entirely of .999 Fine Silver with some of the mid-range values containing silver centers. They also produced 1 Oz rounds commemorating different events.
Many of the products minted by Nevada Coin Mart were minted with .999 Fine Silver. Finishes ranged from BU to proof. Along with the name of the mint, Nevada Coin Mart's mint mark is "NCM". Minting operations seemed to cease in the early 2000s. Today, it operates primarily as a retail store.
