World Wide Mint
World Wide Mint vintage 1 Oz and fractional silver bullion rounds

World Wide Mint

World Wide Mint was a mint based out of Minnesota which was in operation from about 1973 until it dissolved around the year 2000. It was a prolific producer of silver art bars in the 1970's and 1980's and is perhaps best known for it's Coca Cola art bars. In addition to its art bars, it produced 100 Oz bars during the 1980's. Post-2000, the brand appears to have been acquired by another company since there are more "modern" 1 Oz and 10 Oz bars in the marketplace. The mint mark of World Wide Mint are the letters "WWM" superimposed on each other.

During its years of operation, World Wide Mint also produced several commercial, art, and advertising rounds. The most commonly seen are the commercial Liberty rounds produced in 1981 and 1982. They are several varieties from 1981 which was the first year of production. In addition to the 1 Oz rounds, 1/2 Oz, 1/4 Oz, and 1/10 Oz fractional sizes were also produced making it one of the few companies in the 1980's producing fractional silver rounds. All of the rounds were minted from .999 Fine Silver. The company produced rounds with both BU and Proof like finishes.
