1992 1 Oz Liberty Mint Mopar Olympics Round BU

This medallion was commissioned by the Chrysler Corporation in support of the 1992 US Olympic team. Minted from one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver, the proceeds from the sale of this limited-edition medallion were donated to the US Olympic organization.

Obverse: The obverse depicts a stylized runner bearing the Olympic Torch. The five-ringed Olympic logo is located at the bottom left. The phrase "BARCELONA 1992" is inscribed at the top. 

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is also the Olympic rings with the phrase "USA" inscribed above them. The top of the round bears the Chrysler logo and the text "MOPAR CUSTOMER CARE". Immediately below is a phrase stating that Chrysler is an "OFFICIAL SPONSOR OF THE 1992 U.S. OLYMPIC TEAM".  Sprigs of ivy decorate the outer edges and the weight, purity, and content of "ONE TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER" is micro-inscribed at the bottom.
