Rare round with limited mintage. General Motors began an ambassador program in 1995. The idea was to pair an executive with a supplier to gather ideas and improve manufacturing. These rounds were probably made available for purchase or given away to those who participated. There were six different cars used for the designs. The same cars were used for 1 Oz sets.
Obverse: The obverse features a 1949 Buick Model 78c convertible. The text at the top reads "GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION / 1949 BUICK MODEL 78C / ROADMASTER CONVERTIBLE". The phrase at the bottom reads "A GREAT AMERICAN TRADITION".
Reverse: The central feature of the reverse is the logo for the General Motors Ambassadors program, a stylized A. The purity and content of ".999 FINE SILVER" is inscribed at the bottom of the round.
