1991 1 Oz Norman Schwarzkopf Desert Storm Round BU

This medallion honors Norman Schwarzkopf as the commander of the Allied forces during Desert Storm. The mint and exact mintage are unknown, but the round is rare. Minted from one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver, this limited-edition medallion was minted with a BU finish.

Obverse: The central image on the obverse is General H. Norman Schwarzkopf, dressed in military uniform. His name and rank, "KCB", arches across the top. The date "1991" is inscribed at the bottom with four stars flanking it to either side. 

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is the logo for the United Nations. The phrase "OPERATION DESERT STORM" is located above the logo while the weight, purity, and composition of "1 TROY OZ. .999 FINE SILVER" are found beneath it. The upper inscription along the outer rim reads "UNITED NATIONS COALITION FORCES". The title "COMMANDER" is inscribed at the bottom, flanked by four stars on each side. 

Edge: The edge is reeded except for a flat surface on the left. A 5-digit serial number is located on the flat surface.
